MARTINDALE-HUBBELL PEER REVIEW RATINGS
AV is a registered certification mark of Reed Elsevier Properties, Inc., used in accordance with Martindale-Hubbell certification procedures, standards and policies. Martindale-Hubbell is the facilitator of a peer review rating process. Ratings reflect the confidential opinions of members of the Bar and the Judiciary. Martindale-Hubbell ratings fall into two categories: legal ability and general ethical standards.
Legal Ability Ratings take into consideration the standard of professional ability in the area where the lawyer practices, the lawyer's expertise, and other professional qualifications. A rating of “A” for the Legal Ability Ratings means “Very High to Preeminent”. The General Ethical Standards Rating denotes adherence to professional standards of conduct and ethics, reliability, diligence and other criteria relevant to the discharge of professional responsibilities. An “AV” rating is the highest rating available.
