Amir A. Amini

Amir A. Amini leads our business and real estate litigation team. He represents companies and individuals in complex business litigation, including real estate, commercial contracts, fraud, defamation, unfair competition, trade secret and employment disputes. Mr. Amini has significant experience in both state and federal courts, and has successfully represented clients in arbitration and mediation. He has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in the field of Business Litigation for six of the past seven years.

Mr. Amini began his career as a litigation associate with Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, then worked as an associate with Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP. He was a senior associate with Alvarado Smith in Los Angeles immediately prior to joining Sanchez & Amador. He has extensive deposition and law and motion experience, and is particularly skilled at negotiating pre-litigation settlements. He is available to handle litigation in both Northern and Southern California courts.

Mr. Amini graduated, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School in 2003, where he served as Associate Editor of the Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review and was the starting shooting guard on the Intramural Graduate Basketball Championship team. He provided volunteer legal assistance to local non-profits through the law school’s Community and Economic Development Clinic. He earned his B.S. degree in Management Science, with Honors, from the University of California, San Diego in 2000. Throughout college, Mr. Amini volunteered with the San Diego Coalition for the homeless.

Mr. Amini is fluent in Farsi and speaks conversational Spanish. He is a member of the California, Los Angeles County and Beverly Hills Bar Association, the National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms, and the University of Michigan Alumni Association.
